The 1987X reissue amplifier is the unquestionable little brother of the iconic 1959 Plexi. With the same great looks the 1987 deliver 50W of valve tone using a pair of EL34 valves and 3 ECC83 preamp valves. The 50W power output allows you to drive the power stage of the amplifier more easily than its 100W bigger brother to achieve that sought after power stage sound coloration at a lower volume level.

Just like other traditional re-issue amplifiers the 1987X benefits from multiple inputs allowing you to select the best input level for your guitar. In addition the re-issue 1987 has been fitted with a series effects loop with both a level selector and bypass switch to provide more flexibility.
